Through poetry, Soon processes their childhood and religious trauma, as well as the confusing and complicated intersection of growing up an Asian American redneck. Her poems are written on things that would otherwise land in the dustbin: on receipts, tickets or flyers, turning it into a canvas for art. She posts her receipt poetry on Instagram and her first poetry collection titled "Receipts" has been published in 2021.
